How Long do I have to write a debt validation letter to Collection Agency before they start calling me?

How long, after receiving the first letter, do I have to send a Letter to the Collection Agency requesting validation of the debt? How long do I have after receiving the letter before they start calling me and harrassing me?
also I’d like to know what they are required to say by law on their First Notice to you that is in writing.

   There are no time limits. The collection agency can start calling you before they send the first letter. They do have to sent that notice within 5 days of their first call to you.

   You can request additional validation at any time.

   they call until they get the letter requesting validation. once validation or what the consider validation is sent the calls begin again. and more letters. it never ends. if they dont validate they sell the debt to some other junk debt buyer and the process starts over.fyi. the fdcpa is not clear on what validation is. nor does the ca have only 30 days to validate. there is no time limit for them to validate. sadly enough once they do its all over.
