Hi, What is the legal document to formalize a debt between a company and an employee in Texas?
Gustavo B asked:
My company owes us the employees some money but is in deep financial troubles due to the recession, we (he employees) want to give the company the option to pay us the debt in monthly statements but we don’t know which legal document to use. Help!

You really should seek the advice of an Attorney. Seeking legal advice over the Internet is NOT a good idea – the field of Law is too complex for that.
If you have just one word wrong – you could lose everything you have been striving for. Plus every state is different, AND every county is different.
Call your local (usually county) bar association. Ask them for some names of attorneys that handle your type of matter.
When you call the law office(s), insist on speaking with the Lawyer. Do not tell all the little details of your matter to the Secretary – save the details for the Attorney.
When you get the Lawyer on the phone line, ask him/her:
- Do they have FREE, initial consultations?
- How much do they charge?
- Do they accept payments on their accounts?
- Can they help you? OR Refer you to someone that can help you?
My suggestion is that you seek the advice of an attorney regarding this.
Good luck.
